A new hands-on course for master students. In a small team you take on a real-world innovation challenge and build a working prototype for it, with exclusive access to IBM Bob as an AI development partner across the whole development lifecycle: from ideation and design to implementation, testing, maintenance and governance. Because GenAI produces output quickly and fluently, the decisive skill is no longer writing the code: it is delegating suitable tasks, questioning and validating what the AI produces, and taking ownership of the result. You practise that on a real project, and then reflect on it. Basics in programming are enough to start.

• Four interactive sessions on Wednesdays, roughly every two weeks, starting with the kickoff on 28 October (15:45 to 17:15); the slot for the later sessions is agreed in the kickoff so that everyone can take part

• Two presentation dates on top: midterm on 9 December, finals on 10 February 2027

• Graded on the prototype, the report (technical documentation and a reflection on human-AI collaboration) and both presentations. No written exam

• Language is English; attendance at sessions and presentations is mandatory
